Mulakitta meen is the fiery red fish curry of the Kerala coast. The dehydrated curry base and the roasted chilli blend are both in the box, soured the traditional way. Add 500g of any firm fish. No chopping, no grinding.

Onion, Garlic, Ginger, Tomato powder, Curry leaves, Green chilli, Coccum (Garcinia cambogia), Turmeric, Coriander powder, Fish masala, Fenugreek powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, Coconut powder (Coconut).

Method: soak, simmer, serve

  1. Prepare the Curry Base
    • Take the curry base (pack-1).
    • Soak it in 200 ml of hot water for 10-15 minutes.
    • Soak coccum (pack-2) in 300ml of water.
  2. Cook the Curry
    • Heat a pan and add 2–3 tablespoons of coconut oil.
    • Add the soaked curry base and sauté on medium flame for 5–10 minutes.
    • Once the curry base is sautéed, add the dry spice mix (pack-3) and stir for 1-2 minutes.
    • Add coccum with water (300ml), salt and boil it for 5-10 minutes.
    • Add the fish (500g) and cook for 10-15 minutes until it is cooked.
    • Adjust with water & salt according to your preferred consistency.
  3. Garnish & Serve
    • Garnish with fresh curry leaves (optional).
    • Tastes better after resting for a few hours

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, reseal tightly and use within 3 months.
